| This photo album illustrates a circular walk from Grinton village downstream along the River Swale to Marrick village and back along Freminton Edge to Grinton. This is St. Andrew's Church in Grinton in Swaledale which is known to date from Norman times and, quite likely, before. It is known as the Cathedral of the Dale. Many photographs and its history are in the Grinton and Churches sections of this web-site. |
